 Band 6 Physiotherapist

 37.5 hours per week      

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an internationally renowned specialist Orthopaedic Hospital.

Recognized for the management of Elective Orthopaedics, Complex Joint Reconstruction, Limb Reconstruction, Bone Infection and Sarcoma. We have a world class reputation for research and the Physiotherapy Research Department facilitates evidence based practice and clinical effectiveness.

We are looking for an experienced Band 5 or an existing Band 6 who is keen to expand their existing clinical skills in specialist Inpatient Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation. You should have completed the core rotations, have recent orthopaedic experience and be able to work both within a team and with a high degree of professional autonomy.

The post will involve the management and treatment of Orthopaedic Inpatients including Spinal Rehabilitation and undertake presentations at the pre - operative Hip Education Sessions. It offers the opportunity to develop both clinical and managerial working alongside and supported by senior staff. You would undertake supervision, teaching and appraisal of Band 5 physiotherapists and students.

The inpatient physiotherapy team plays a key role in the development of patient pathways and enhanced recovery and there is close multi-disciplinary team working to improve patient care and discharge planning.

The physiotherapy service has a large team of specialist musculoskeletal / orthopaedic physiotherapists with active in-service training programmes and continued professional development is encouraged and viewed as integral to providing a quality service for patients. 

The post holder will be required to work on the physiotherapy weekend and on call rota.
