Part-Time Consultant Orthodontist (2 posts)

Applications are invited for two Consultant posts in Orthodontics. These posts are part time, both 6PA’s each.  One is based entirely at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, and one also includes sessions at the Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Swindon.

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to deliver high quality specialist secondary and tertiary care orthodontics, working closely with OMFS. The successful candidates will be expected to actively participate in the supervision and training of a Specialist Registrar and a post CCST trainee. There are also opportunities to work closely with other Consultant colleagues, including Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons, Orthodontists and Restorative colleagues in the provision of treatment for complex malocclusions and severe skeletal discrepancies.

The OUH NHS Foundation Trust has a world-wide reputation for clinical excellence and research. It is a cleft centre, linked with Salisbury and is a supraregional craniofacial unit.  The successful candidate will be joining a well-established network between Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. Oxfordshire is an exciting and diverse place to live and work.  It has excellent transport links with the rest of the country and is only 45 minutes on the train to central London.  It has easy access to both the Cotswolds and the Chilterns which have a myriad of leisure opportunities available.  Oxford is a beautiful, historic city with a world famous University and numerous surrounding picturesque towns and villages offering a great choice of locations for living and lifestyle.
