Radiology Clinical Governance Deputy

Job Title: Deputy Radiology Clinical Governance Manager

Basis: Full time

Location: OUH Foundation Trusts – John Radcliffe

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

The Radiology Directorate is part of the Trust Clinical Support Services Division and we are expanding our clinical governance team  


Take your radiography and NHS career in a new direction and join the dynamic Radiology Clinical Governance Team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who is passionate about improving patient safety by providing our dedicated staff with support and guidance through a clear Clinical Governance operational framework and processes, to ensure a high quality service is delivered to all our patients across all our sites in oxford.  


The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Governance Manager and other clinical governance and management colleagues in delivering the Quality and Clinical Governance Agenda for the Radiology Directorate. The successful candidate will work with a wide range of directorate staff, including senior managers and clinicians, in dealing with incident investigations, clinical audits, development of evidenced based practices and policies and patient pathways.   This will include all disciplines and levels of staff to achieve agreed objectives and priorities.  This key role will also involve working with the Senior Divisional and corporate Clinical Governance Teams. 

The post-holder will be integral in the implementation of the ISAS project, the subsequent accreditation and on-going validation of the scheme under the direction of the DCG lead.

Situated in the vibrant and historical University City of Oxford and the town of Banbury, OUH provides local, regional and national healthcare across a wide variety of clinical specialties from four main hospital sites. Whatever your career desires, we are certain that OUH has something for you.

The John Radcliffe Hospital serves as the Regional Major Trauma Centre and is the hub for the Thames Valley Regional Vascular Network. Various specialist procedures are carried out, including Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair. The Oxford Heart Centre provides a comprehensive facility for all cardiac procedures. The John Radcliffe site is also home to the West Wing Neuroradiology department. This provides specialised cross sectional CT and MRI imaging to in-patients and out-patients, and interventional neuroradiology procedures. The Children’s Hospital Oxford, within the West Wing, is a purpose built facility with dedicated paediatric imaging facilities.
