Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. Watch how we set out to deliver compassionate excellence via the OUH YouTube channel.

Many of our recruitment programmes use Value Based Interviewing to identify those who have the skills we seek, who share our values and who are able to deliver compassionate excellence from the outset. We know that this makes a significant difference to your job satisfaction and above all the outcomes and experience of our patients and their families.

We need an office lynchpin!  Could that be you?

An opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Directorate for a Medical Revalidation and Job Planning Assistant supporting more than 1400 doctors to achieve a positive Medical Revalidation recommendation and manage their job plans. The post holder will be part of a small, friendly and very busy team ensuring that the statutory responsibilities associated with Revalidation and the contractual requirements of job planning are discharged in a timely manner to the highest standards.

This is a key post and the holder will be the glue that holds the team together.  The remit of the office is extremely diverse and increasingly mobile.  We therefore need someone who can hold the fort and support the systems co-ordinators and the manager to deliver a first class service to medical colleagues and, by extension, the wider healthcare community.  We are looking for someone who can pick up information and skills quickly, communicate well with a wide range of colleagues, has a customer service ethic and has a common sense, can-do attitude.  In return we can offer the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge, be part of an evolving service with a widening remit and work in an environment where your ideas and suggestions are actively encouraged to be truly part of the team.
