Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Registrar) in Paediatric Surgery in Oxford, commencing ASAP for 6 months (Negotiable). This post might be extended for further 6 six months. The post offers experience in general paediatric surgery with the option for the post holder to declare an interest in paediatric laparoscopic surgery, paediatric surgical oncology or paediatric urology. The post offers experience in elective paediatric surgery and urology and general paediatric surgical emergencies during on calls. It is suitable for trainees after finishing Core Training, who would like to gain experience in Paediatric Surgery or urology. It is also suitable for trainees at other levels of their training who wish to perform research and obtain further experience in general paediatric surgery or specifically in Laparoscopic Surgery, Paediatric Surgical Oncology or Paediatric Urology.

The paediatric surgical department is the tertiary referral unit for a catchment area of approx. 3 million and serves the local area of Oxfordshire.

The successful candidate will take part in the registrar on call Rota (1:8, non-resident on call) and is expected to work in outpatient clinics and theatre. This post is not recognized for training but will offer training in elective and emergency paediatric surgery.

Salary £31,217 to £49,086 pa
