The Oxford University NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching hospitals in the country. This is a vibrant, fast paced and busy interventional radiology unit which provides a variety of interventional radiology procedures. We work in partnership with colleagues at the Churchill, NOC, Neuro radiology and children’s radiology to provide opportunities for professional and personal development.

The unique and varied nature of the specialty means there is always something new and interesting to learn.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Staff Nurse with excellent communication skills who will give high standard patient centered care to join the interventional radiology department at the John Radcliffe/Churchill Hospital

The post comprises of a verity of roles including sedation, scrubbing to assist in interventional procedures, co coordinating IR activities and patient lists, looking after patients in the radiology day case unit and managing nurse and CSW staff 

Radiology experience is desirable but not essential. You will be fully supported during your first six months with mentorship and a competency training package.

You will rotate between the interventional room and the day case unit during the working week.

On call commitments 1 weekend every 4 weeks
