OXFORD UNIVERSITY HOPSITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

CLINICAL FELLOW IN PAEDIATRIC ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY
1 POST - full time


Applications are invited from candidates who are interested in Children’s Orthopaedics, for the post of Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Orthopaedics based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Children’s Hospital, Oxford.

This post is suitable for surgeons who have completed their specialist registrar training, who have FRCS (Orth) or equivalent, and who are seeking experience in elective Paediatric Orthopaedics prior to consultant appointment.

The group provides tertiary orthopaedic care for hip, lower extremity reconstruction, and upper extremity. We work within a multi-disciplinary service for children with neuro-orthopaedic conditions, with a state of the art gait analysis laboratory. Our team also forms part of one of the five national centres for the treatment of musculoskeletal tumours. The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre is immediately adjacent to the Botnar Research centre, one of world’s preeminent musculoskeletal research units.

The post is available from 1st September 2018, for a fixed term period of 6 months, which may be extendable to 12 months.

The successful candidate will be expected to apply for enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau as the post involves working with children/vulnerable adults.

Closing date for receipt of applications is 29th October 2017 , interviews are planned to be in the week commencing 27th November.
