 Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Orthodontics, based at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a locum post and is a 2.0 PA job plan.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver high quality specialist secondary and tertiary care orthodontics at both centres, working closely with OMFS and restorative colleagues. The successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in the supervision and training of a specialist Registrar and a post CCST. There are also opportunities to work closely with other Consultant colleagues, including Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons, Orthodontists and restorative colleagues in the provision of treatment for complex malocclusions and severe skeletal discrepancies. The successful locum candidate will be joining a well-established OMFS network between Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.

The departments provide a specialist orthodontic service for patients referred from both primary care (GDS, PDS and specialist practitioners) and consultant colleagues. A full range of services is provided for patients of all ages. The departments have a significant caseload of patients with multidisciplinary problems, and joint consultant clinics are regularly held within the department

You must have full GDC registration, be on the specialist list in orthodontics and be on or within 3 months of eligibility of the FDS (Orth)
