Consultant Rheumatologist

Applications are invited to apply for the above post for the Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Directorate at the Nuffield Orthopaeidic Centre, Windmill Road, Oxford, OX3 7HE.

The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, part of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust would like to appoint a Consultant Rheumatologist. The successful candidate will form part of the well-established Rheumatology team, and is expected to have an interest in research.

The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre is one of four teaching hospitals that comprise the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We have a worldwide reputation for excellence in orthopaedic, rheumatology and rehabilitation. As a specialist orthopaedic, rheumatology and rehabilitation hospital we provide routine and specialist orthopaedic and rheumatology services to the people of Oxfordshire.

Specialist services, such as the treatment of skeletal dysplasia, vasculitis, and bone infection and bone tumours, and the rehabilitation of those with limb amputation or congenital deficiency, and those with neurological disabilities are provided for patients from across the UK and abroad.

The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre maintains a distinguished medical and nursing tradition since it’s beginning in 1872. The tradition of clinical excellence and reputation for first class patient care continues today with a team of dedicated staff and consultants working together to put the care and needs of our patients first. We are an innovative and friendly hospital providing routine procedures and a wide range of specialist services.

The appointee will be expected to work closely with colleagues across all trust sites and be committed to cross-site working. The appointee will be expected to work closely with the existing consultant rheumatologists.
