We currently have vacancies for Band 3 Clinical support staff within our busy Emergency department.

We are looking for enthusiastic motivated staff to undertake this key role. Although we ask a lot or our staff in this often fast paced environment, we offer an excellent learning environment supported by our dedicated development Nurse, with all relevant training provided within Trust. Excellent communication and people skills are required.

Skills and competence at B3 level will need to be demonstrated e.g. advanced assessment, nursing care certificate or equivalent, clinical observations, cannulation, venepuncture and minor  emergency treatments. Aware certificates completion and NVQ 3 or equivalent

CSW Key Role:

  • To provide support to the nursing team, to contribute to the efficiency and smooth running of the ED/EAU department
  • Assist qualified staff in the nursing care of patients with a diverse range of illnesses and injuries
  • Carry out a range of patient care tasks in support of and supervised by a registered nurse
  • Record information detailing patient care given, under supervision of registered nurse
  • Monitoring and maintaining equipment on the unit, under supervision of registered nurse
  • Supporting patient transfers and unit flow management
  • Support, mentor and supervise junior staff

 

The current vacancies are full time 37.5 hours (2.0wte) part time considered
