A new opportunity has arisen within the Horton Hospital Estates & Facilities team for a dynamic, self-motivated Housekeeping Manager with the responsibility for the direct management and delivery of the in-house, Housekeeping service provision. With autonomy to manage and provide support, guidance and training for staff, you will develop the service and promote continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and motivating a large team of staff, have good demonstrable knowledge of healthcare domestic cleaning, linen and laundry supply services and basic patient meal and beverage support requirements. You will deliver services which are effective, ensuring the hospital environment is clean in accordance with NHS National Cleaning Standards, food hygiene and nutrition guidelines are followed and infection control policies and procedures adhered to and promoted. This role and the services provided, support clinical teams and underpins the patient’s experience and expectations.

You must be able to effectively communicate with all staff groups and be flexible in your daily approach to challenging situations. You will play an active role in meeting with staff in their areas of work, understanding their challenges, and managing support and monitoring resources in a proactive way which encourages commitment and teamwork.

Candidates must live within 1 hour commuting distance of the Horton General Hospital, Banbury. If you would like to make a difference, and relish the opportunity to deliver high standards of customer care, this could be the job for you!
