Horton Hospital

LAS FY1 Doctor in Orthogeriatrics

Applications are invited for the post of Foundation Year 1 Doctor in Orthogeriatrics. 

This post is vacant from 7th August 2019 – 4th August 2020.

This post provides ideal generic Foundation experience with exposure to Trauma, General Surgery, ED Medicine, Acute Medicine, Geratology and Anaesthetics. There is an opportunity to attend theatre and develop a surgical logbook.

 The post holder will rotate on a six weekly basis through Trauma ward at the Horton site and Acute Surgical Assessment Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Out of hours work will be undertaken at the Horton site where the Trust’s award winning Hip Fracture service is based.

All previous post holders including LAS posts have successfully progressed to FY2 training posts.

Applicants must be fully registered with a licence to practice with the UK General Medical Council.

Salary:£23,553.00- £26,493.00 per annum 

Contract:Fixed Term 12 months contract

A possible banding supplement may be applicable.
