37.5 HOURS (Monday to Friday days)




An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time band 5 radiology nurse. The Horton Hospital radiology department is a vibrant, busy unit which provides a variety of radiology procedures to a wide range of out-patients and in patients of all ages. We work in partnership with colleagues to provide excellent patient care. The unique and varied nature of the specialty means there is always something new and interesting to learn. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated nurse with excellent communication skills who will give high standard patient centered care to join our team.


The post comprises of a verity of roles including preparing patients for biopsy and drainage procedures ensuring DCU bed is booked and patients and staff are aware of pre procedure requirements. You will order radiology equipment and medications and work closely with colleagues and multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient care.


The multidisciplinary team comprises of sonographers, radiographers, consultant radiologists, radiology clinical support workers, nurses, doctors and administrative staff. We are a friendly supportive team who enjoy working together. Radiology experience is desirable but not essential. You will be fully supported during your first six months.
