The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust delivers healthcare services at the four main hospital sites, the John Radcliffe Hospital, the Churchill Hospital, The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and the Horton General Hospital. Services are also based in health centres, or adjoined to community hospitals across Oxfordshire. The Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams have merged into an integrated Therapies Service to support the development of a clinically led organisation and to meet the national and local improvement agenda for healthcare services.

The Acute General Medicine Therapy Services at the Horton Hospital are recruiting a Band 6,Full time (37.5 hours per week) Physiotherapist to join the team at the Horton Hospital, Banbury. This post will be working as part of multi-disciplinary team (MDT) providing a service to patients in the hospital with acute Respiratory needs.

The post holder will support in the management of Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants; and carry a complex clinical caseload. The role includes the daily clinical case load and supporting the Team leaders in the service development and a focus on the patient experience all of which contribute to the Trust meeting its objectives to deliver integrated, compassionate care. The Therapy and Rehabilitation teams work closely with other professions to ensure that patient centred care and rehabilitation remain our key priority. This post holder will be expected to deputise and lead the department in the absence of managerial staff.

The post holder will also be expected to supervise and be proactive in the in-service training needs of the team. The team has been granted funding to develop a 7 day service and this post will appeal to a visionary, self-motivated candidate who can assist the Team Leaders in managing the service delivery.
