Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. Watch how we set out to deliver compassionate excellence via the OUH YouTube channel.

Many of our recruitment programmes use Value Based Interviewing to identify those who have the skills we seek, who share our values and who are able to deliver compassionate excellence from the outset. We know that this makes a significant difference to your job satisfaction and above all the outcomes and experience of our patients and their families.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Band 5 Patient Pathway Team Leaders within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Vascular Surgery services, in the NOTSS Division. The posts are both based at the John Radcliffe Hospital and post holders will have direct line management responsibility for the administration teams within their respective services.

The post holders will need strong management skills and will need to be familiar with NHS HR policies. There will also be an element of working with RTT performance, so knowledge of the Trust Elective Access policy is crucial.

The post holders will be working closely with their Access Managers, Service Managers and Clinicians, and as such, this position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a management role.

The post in Vascular Surgery is part-time, 25 hours per week over five days. The post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is full-time, 37.5 hours per week over five days. Exact working patterns will be agreed upon appointment.

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
