Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for motivated and experienced individuals for the role of Deputy Operational Service Manager within the Directorate of Neurosciences within the Division of Neurosciences, Trauma, Orthopaedics and Specialist Surgery (NOTSS). We are seeking proactive individuals with excellent leadership skills who have the aptitude to facilitate and effect change. You will contribute to the development of services in the Directorate, in particular focusing on delivering waiting time performance standards (the Referral to Treatment Access and Cancer standards).

The Neurosciences Directorate comprises of 6 clinical service units – Neurosurgery, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Neurology, Neurophysiology, Neuropathology & Spinal Surgery and these services are delivered on the John Radcliffe and Nuffield Orthopedic hospital sites


Deputy Operational Service Manager 8a

The Deputy OSM will provide support to the OSM and deputise on their behalf, they will also be the “guardian” of the Cancer and RTT for the Directorate and will have the experience and expert knowledge to support staff in decision making and ensuring staff comply on behalf of the OSM with the Patient Access Policy.

They will provide line management support to the Waiting List, Appointment and Validation teams and ensure on a daily basis patients are managed in line with the RTT and Cancer rules suite.
