Part of the Children’s and Womens Division at the OUH, the Children’s Directorate is a provider of Secondary, Regional and Supra-regional care to Oxfordshire, the Thames Valley and beyond. The Directorate supports more than over 30 clinical specialties and has services at the John Radcliffe, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and Horton sites comprising of inpatient facilities, outpatient departments, a Children’s Critical Care Unit and a Neonatal Unit. We also conduct over 300 outreach clinics each year within our partner District General Hospital’s. Our strategic partnership with Children’s Services at Southampton University Hospital means our Children’s Hospitals Network is one of the largest providers of Children’s services in the country.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated administrator to support the daily working of the Directorate, supporting the Directorate Management Team and responding to the variety of challenges that working in such a busy and complex area brings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing many functions within the Directorate, as well as providing administrative support for a number of regular meetings. The post holder will be someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with a varied multidisciplinary team and is able to use expert communication skills to build a rapport and working relationships with all members of the Directorate, Division and wider Trust teams.
