Oxford Centre for Genomic Medicine (formerly Clinical Genetics) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced  individual with excellent organisational and communication skills to join our administration team to cover maternity leave.  The Genomic Medicine Service cares for a population of 3million living in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Northamptonshire and Wiltshire.  Our aim is to provide diagnoses and support for families with rare inherited conditions.

The postholder will:-

(a)    Provide excellent secretarial services, using the Trust’s transcription services

(b)   Be first port of call to clinicians fielding and managing calls where appropriate.

(c)    Maintain clinicians diary

(d)    Use good communication and time management skills to request medical information from other hospitals.

(e)   Liaise daily with clinicians to provice administrative support.

(f)     Utilise appointment booking softwar (EPR),  Genomic Medicine Database (Shire) and correspondence software (Alden) and participate in meetings.

(g)    Work as part of the wider administrative team as needed.
