A whole-time/part-time post as a Clinical Fellow in Cardiothoracic anaesthesia and Critical Care is available now at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit admits patients requiring Level 2 and Level 3 care following cardiothoracic surgery or cardiological procedures, including routine coronary bypass grafts and valves but also complex aortic, mitral and pulmonary procedures including TAVI and the insertion of ventricular assisted devices. Additionally we have a growing thoracic workload including pneumonectomy, lobectomy, lung reduction surgery, endobronchial stent placement and chest re-constructions. The unit has moved into a new purpose-built facility and plans to develop to 17 beds. Currently, the unit is managed by 6 cardiothoracic intensivists with input from one cardiothoracic surgeon, The successful post holder will be expected to actively participate in developing research, teaching and audit programmes and taking an active part in the clinical governance requirements of the unit

Salary £31,217.00pa - £49,086.00pa
