Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

Melanie’s Ward are recruiting for experienced and newly qualified Band 5 Children’s Nurses to work with our supportive team within our amazing, purpose built Children’s Hospital. If you are an RN Adult registered and considering working with children we are also interested in hearing from you.

Melanie’s Ward cares for older children and teenage patients from all specialties within Children’s services at the Children’s Hospital Oxford. It is a diverse and interesting ward to work on and never dull! The age range is our specialty but we take acute medical, acute surgical, orthopaedic, respiratory, spinal, ENT, psycho-social, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, gastro, urology, endocrine, mental health, and neuro sciences patients regularly. Melanie’s Ward team are versatile and supportive with a strong emphasis on team work.

You will be supported by our ward based Clinical Educators and our Practice Development Sister. There are many opportunities for further professional and academic development ensuring that we provide high quality, compassionate care for our patients.

If you are a highly motivated, compassionate, professional Children’s nurse with a desire to progress and develop your skills within a superb environment we would welcome your application.
