Triage Staff Nurse

Up to £1,000 relocation support offered to eligible candidates.

37.5 hours per week including weekends, evenings and nights.

The Cancer and Haematology Triage assessment service is led by a dedicated specialist nursing team who care for all emergency calls and admissions within Oxford Cancer services (Oncology, Haematology and Radiotherapy). Your experience and development is valued by us and we are offering a part time role within the Cancer & Haematology Triage assessment team. We offer an initial orientation programme and you will work alongside an experienced Nurse Practitioner team in order to develop your knowledge and skill in the assessment, treatment and on-going support of
cancer patients within the inpatient and outpatient setting.

Education and training opportunities available include:
• The management and treatment of Acute Oncological Emergencies in both Oncology and Haematology patients.
• Training and support to develop skilled and competent telephone triage.
• Training and support for advanced clinical roles such as cannulation, diagnostic reasoning and the care of the acutely unwell patient.
• Opportunities to become involved in Clinical Audit and Quality Improvement Projects.
• Opportunities to continue your development in other clinical areas whilst working with the Triage assessment team.
• Opportunities to continue your education and training at post graduate level based on appraisal and service need.

We are looking for enthusiastic Registered nurses with or without chemotherapy qualifications who are interested in the enhancement of their Cancer Nursing knowledge, skill and experience. Happy to support rotations if requested.
