We are looking for a Senior Specialist Nurse to join our Sarcoma specialist nursing service at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You would be joining a team of specialist nurses who provide a service to patients across the pathway from diagnosis through to discharge. As one of five national centres the service treats patients from the UK and overseas. The service is based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and also covers the Churchill Cancer Centre.

Our nursing teams are central to the delivery of excellent care to cancer patients attending the Oxford University Hospitals. Our teams deliver a holistic approach to patient care using the latest technologies to support individualised assessments and care planning. The service delivers evidence based care to patients undergoing treatment for Sarcoma, supporting them through treatment decisions, treatment, and onto living beyond treatment. You will work closely with other members of the specialist nursing teams, the wider MDT and cancer services, providing a service across care boundaries in liaison with primary care within the locality and the network. You will be part of a wider team of cancer specialist nurses and be supported in your on-going development.

You should have:

•             Significant relevant post-registration experience at Band 6.

•             Cancer nursing experience

•             Advanced interpersonal and communication skills

•             Experience of multidisciplinary collaborative practice

•             IT and data analysis skills

•             A Nursing Degree and a willingness to undertake post graduate study.
