The Cardiothoracic directorate at the John Radcliffe Hospital is one of the major providers of care within the South East Region.  We are an extremely busy, friendly and currently expanding department.

 The directorate are recruiting 1 full time Administration Manager to support the Cardiothoracic Secretariat as well as a Consultant Cardiologist in all day to day administration.

 The post holder is responsible for effectively managing the smooth operation of the administration support service for the Cardiothoracic Directorate.  With other senior staff they will effectively manage and take an active role in the continual development of the administration support, ensuring that appropriate and full administrative support is provided and full utilisation of staff at all times across the service.  The post holder will also be PA to a Consultant Cardiologist and so will need to be customer focused, flexible, motivated and pro-active with the ability to support the immediate team and wider directorate. The applicant will be required to manage requests from a multi-disciplinary team in a calm and effective way.

 Personal and team development is encouraged and supported.  The post holders will be motivated, reliable and flexible.  NHS experience is desired, but not essential as full training will be given. 

This post reports to the Patient Access Manager for the Cardiothoracic Directorate.
