Advanced Cystic Fibrosis Physiotherapist Practitioner Paediatrics
Band 7 (B6 preceptorship considered)–  up to 1.0 wte


Due to recent additional investment in transforming the delivery of CF Physiotherapy Services in Oxford we are able to advertise this role.

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7- Advanced Cystic Fibrosis Physiotherapist Practitioner to join our team working within the regional Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Service.  The Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Physiotherapy service comprises- two B7 posts, and a band 6. Additional support is provided from other members of the Acute Paediatrics Physiotherapy Team.  
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced physiotherapist with the ability to work with a high degree of professional autonomy. The candidate will be able to demonstrate an advanced level of physiotherapy skills and expertise specific to this speciality.  You will have substantial postgraduate experience with relevant clinical experience.
The children’s therapy department is a well established, friendly, highly motivated and enthusiastic team. Within the Cystic Fibrosis service you will form part of a multi-disciplinary team providing care and treatment to the children across the county and support to network clinic teams and their service-users across the region. 
Your role will involve working as part of the Acute Paediatric Therapy and Cystic Fibrosis teams providing assessment, management and treatment for patients with Cystic Fibrosis. You will be expected to use specialised clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist assessment and treatment of complex patients as a practitioner within clinic, ward and domiciliary settings and at annual review.  This will include working within inpatients, outpatients, Hospital at Home, clinics, annual review, network clinics, schools and gyms. You will manage and develop the Cystic Fibrosis physiotherapy service and contribute towards the management of the acute paediatric therapy department to ensure high standards of care are maintained and developed.

We would consider a preceptorship for experienced candidates who do not meet all the criteria for a B7 role. Interviews for both roles will be on the same day and via the same application process.
