We are offering an excellent opportunity to join our Clinical Coding team.  This post is one of four team leader posts reporting to the Deputy Clinical Coding Manager. The coding team is also supported by a Coding Trainer and a Coding Auditor.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is a team player with a good approach to mentoring and leading as well as a proven track record of problem solving and negotiation.  The post holder will work closely with the other team leaders while supporting the Clinical Coding Service Improvement Manager and the Deputy Coding Manager in raising the profile of Clinical Coding in the Trust. Communicating effectively with Clinicians, Senior Managers and other staff within the Trust is therefore a must.

The post holder will be based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Womens Centre but may have the opportunity to work on other sites in the future. They will have responsibility for the training and development of a team located there.  They will have expert working knowledge of ICD10 and OPCS4 and be able to deal with the most complex and challenging coding. The candidate will already be an Accredited Clinical Coder.
