Clinical Research Nurse

 

Oxford University Hospital Trust   -    Emergency Department

Band 6 – Full time, part-time will be considered

Secondment opportunity for internal candidates or Fixed Term contract until 31st December 2018.

 

We are seeking to appoint a Band 6 Clinical Research Nurse to cover Maternity leave until the 31st December 2018, to work on a portfolio of clinical trials/studies associated with emergency care.

You will have responsibility for screening patients for recruitment, obtaining Valid Informed consent, randomising patients into the trials, ensuring the patient pathway in the trial is completed and liaising with other participating centers. Duties will also include providing support to patients who have been, or have the potential to be, recruited into a trial.  The post holder will be involved in ensuring that any research undertaken within the department ensures the safeguarding and wellbeing of the patients and is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trial) Regulations 2004 and the NHS Research Governance Framework.

This is an excellent opportunity to enable the individual to gain a wide range of skills and experience within a clinical research role.
