We are looking for an experienced nurse to join our team in managing the two week wait pathway for patients referred for investigation into suspected gastrointestinal cancer. 

 

The role of the 2WW nurse co-ordinator is to review and triage the referrals using agreed proformas, facilitate the booking of investigations in a timely manner, follow up the results and liaise with the patient, GP and other members of the multidisciplinary team  regarding results and follow up.

 

The post holder will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail even when working under pressure and be able to work independently.  IT literacy is also important as you will work with a number of computer systems.
