Band 6- Deputy Ward Sister / Deputy Charge Nurse


We are looking for an experienced nurse with a passion for Women’s Health to take on the role of a Deputy Ward Sister / Deputy Charge Nurse on the Gynaecology Ward. This includes, a 24 hour triage service, 20 bedded inpatient unit and a day case/theatre direct admission unit.


We are a dynamic and rapidly developing unit treating a wide treating a wide range of Gynaecological conditions, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team. As a member of the senior team, using your advanced skills and knowledge, you will demonstrate clinical leadership within the clinical environment. You will be expected to work alongside the ward sister, practice development nurse and clinical educators to ensure the quality and safety standards are maintained.  



You will receive an annual appraisal and personal development plan which will enable you to have structure within your role and help you to develop both personally and professionally. You will receive an orientation period and training during which you will be able to work visit other areas related to women’s health, and you will have a named mentor.
