Delivering ICT services to the NHS in Oxfordshire

Information Management and Technology Services (IM&T Services) provide support to Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust users as well as to a number of other Health organisations across Oxfordshire. This involves supporting over 10,000 workstations and printers, circa 11,000 staff users of systems, and nearly 800 servers (over 75% virtual). During 2016, IM&T Services responded to 132,000 calls and were involved in multiple projects.

Notes: This post may be asked to contributed to the 24 hour “on call” commitment of IM&T Services for which additional payments apply.

This post operate within the Network team of the OUH IM & T Service Delivery, and is responsible for delivery, support and administration of corporate data and voice network systems for over 20,000 users across Oxfordshire. The post holder will play a major role within the network team to ensure that service level agreements are met or exceeded, and that policies, processes and procedures within OUH customer organisations are adhered to.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and will be experienced and technically competent in Cisco network technologies; and the development and improvement of processes and standards.

OUH IM&T Networks supports a busy, fast-moving technical environment and a diverse user community across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and into Wiltshire and can provide considerable technical and personal development in a wide range of technologies and operational/project functions. The post holder will gain considerable technical and operational experience in the development and management of a complex and diverse network environment.
