The Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust is a world renowned centre of clinical excellence in a vibrant, historical city with a tradition of innovation and forward-thinking.  As one of the largest Immunology laboratories in the UK we offer great opportunities for career development in a highly progressive working environment.

We are looking for an HCPC registered Healthcare Scientist with experience of Immunology in an NHS diagnostic laboratory setting.  The successful candidate will have completed their IBMS specialist portfolio in Immunology.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated person who is a good communicator.  They will join our experienced, friendly team of staff and play a key role in delivering and developing our comprehensive, clinical immunology service. You will help to meet quality standards necessary for accreditation, and ensure that protocols are followed and method files kept in a way that maintains Health, Safety and Security for individuals, the Department and the Trust.

You will be expected to actively participate in the training and development of technical, medical and support staff as well as to be pro-active in your own learning and the continued development of the service.

Candidates without UK HCPC registration may be considered for shortlisting if there are insufficient qualified candidates.   Applicants must hold a good IBMS accredited honours degree in Biomedical science to be considered for a band 5 position.  If successful the candidate will be expected to complete the HCPC registration portfolio within 12 months.
