Digital Voice Recognition Project

Supporting the implementation of dictation directly into the Patient’s Electronic Record to improve the confidential communication of patient information between the Trust, other Healthcare Professionals, and GP Practices.

We are looking to recruit for our expanding Application Support, Training and Testing Team. The post-holder will be directly involved in the Digital Voice Recognition Project; providing support and training to staff across Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.

We have been named as a NHS ‘Global Digital Exemplar’ which recognises that we are at the forefront of using digital technology to deliver exceptional treatment and care. We have ambitious plans to accelerate the opportunities that digital technology offers. Working with the aim of the NHS to be ‘paper-free’ and for patient records to be held electronically and accessible across different clinical computer systems. The successful implementation of the Digital Voice Recognition Project is part of this.

Application Support & Training Analysts

(1 x Fixed Term - 2 Years)

(2 x Permanent Contract)

Salary Scale:   NHS AfC Band 5 (Salary Range: £22,128 - £28,746) depending on relevant qualifications & experience.

Hours: 37.5 per week. In addition the post holder may be asked to contribute to the 24 hour "on call rota" commitment of IM&T Services (Application Support) for which additional payments apply.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to join our Application Support & Training Team within a busy NHS Foundation Trust with the aim to be recognised as one of the most digitally advanced NHS Trusts in the world over the next two years. The successful applicant will play a significant role in providing support for the delivery of the ‘Digital Voice Recognition’ project as well as other developments within the IM&T Services Department.

This varied role will involve delivering training to staff, writing training documentation; undertaking testing and reporting of new developments, as well as testing maintenance releases. In addition to this the post-holder will assist with getting to resolution for incidents and requests received by the Application Support Team via our IM&TS Service Desk.

Knowledge of a clinical environment and healthcare ICT systems would be beneficial as well as a keen interest to become part of the Application Support, Training and Testing Team. The role would suit a motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude, strong attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, a passion for learning and possess excellent customer service skills.
