   We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic, full-time Information Governance/Freedom of Information Officer to work within the Information Governance team based at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

   The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with its responsibilities under the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations. The post-holder will collectively manage freedom of information/environment information requests with the wider team, ensuring that statutory deadlines are complied with, exemptions are applied where necessary, and information is made available to the public via the Trust publication scheme.

   You will also work with the team as an information governance advisor, teaching staff and raising awareness of information governance issues as well as helping to complete the annual Data Security and Protection Toolkit return. Prior experience information governance/freedom of information is not essential, as training will be provided.

   The success candidate will have excellent organizational, interpersonal and written skills. Have good attention to detail with a high degree of self-motivation.
