Midwifery and Clinical Governance Manager

Band 8A

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Senior Midwifery Management Team to lead a dynamic Women’s Governance Team at Oxford University Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust.   The OUH FT is looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior midwife, who is an experienced clinical leader with demonstrable knowledge of the clinical governance and patient safety agenda.

We are looking for an innovative and motivated leader who can work in a cohesive and forward thinking way that aligns to the needs of the service, women and the organisation.   The post holder will need to demonstrate an effective management style, meet challenging deadlines and possess strong leadership qualities in developing and implementing change.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring robust governance and risk systems are in place across the Directorate to ensure a high quality and safe service. You will be responsible for the management of the practice development team to ensure governance, training and education lining effectively to ensure learning across the service.

The post holder will be expected to participate in the operational management and the managerial on-call rota.
