Oxford University NHS Foundation trust

Community Midwives Band 6 for the South Community team working with the stand-alone Wallingford Maternity-led Unit.


We are looking to recruit innovative midwives who are passionate about promoting normality and are dedicated to providing evidence based care. The Community South Team provides antenatal and postnatal care as well as births at the stand alone midwife-led Unit in Wallingford and at home.


We are a busy service which provides care for over 7,500 women and their families. We have 1 Consultant led unit based in Oxford along with 4 stand-alone midwifery led units an integrated midwifery led unit and a homebirth service.

Midwives employed within the service have the opportunity to rotate to all our units/departments providing care to both low and high risk women.


Post is open to Band 6 experienced midwives with current NMC registration and a minimum of 6 months paid midwifery experience

 Interviews will take place over half a day and include

·        OSCE

·        Value Based Interview

·        Drug calculation test

·        Formal Interview
