Locum Specialist Registrar in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology

The Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Trust has the opportunity to appoint a Fellow (Locum Specialist Registrar) in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology from 2 January 2018 until 1 Jan 2019. This position is aimed at those who have some registrar level training in the infection specialties and wish to gain further experience. The post will be based in OUH which is a large teaching centre (4 hospitals) with a wide range of specialist services including infectious diseases, bone infection, cardiac, cancer, trauma, neurosurgery, ENT and transplant surgery. The department of infection also has very strong academic links. The post will consist of clinical rotations through modules that trainees on HEE Thames Valley training programme do (descriptions available on HETV website). It will be primarily based in Oxford and include infection consult services, in-patient work, outpatient clinics and participation in the ID/micro on call rota. This may also include some general medicine takes.
