Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. Watch how we set out to deliver compassionate excellence via the OUH YouTube channel.

Many of our recruitment programmes use Value Based Interviewing to identify those who have the skills we seek, who share our values and who are able to deliver compassionate excellence from the outset. We know that this makes a significant difference to your job satisfaction and above all the outcomes and experience of our patients and their families.

•Are you passionate about providing safe and excellent care at all times?

•Are you looking for an opportunity to learn and develop professionally?

•Are you a team member able to work well with a range of professionals?

•Are you looking for experience delivering care for people of all ages?

If you answered ‘Yes’ to the above, you are what we are looking for!

Interventional Neuroradiology is a rapidly expanding, dynamic specialty in the Trust, which involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, radiographers and radiologists delivering a high standard of care. The unique and varied nature of the speciality means that there is always something new and interesting to learn. Your role is to work as a scrub or a circulating nurse in our angiography suite. Previous experience in a theatre environment, interventional radiology or neurosciences is desirable but not essential. You will be fully supported during your first 6 months with mentorship and a competency training package.

Radiology directorate is offering a pay progression opportunity for band 5 nurses to obtain a band 6 grade. This is a great opportunity for career development.

The shifts are 8.00-18.00 Monday to Friday. On call service is provided on Saturdays. Participation in the on call rota is required once sufficient experience and competency is achieved.
