Band 2 Nursing Assistant Post: Oncology Ward, Haematology Ward or Sobell House Hospice, Oxford University Hospitals Trust.

The Oxford Cancer & Haematology Centre cares for people with solid tumors and hematological diseases in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. It is closely linked to Sobell House Hospice, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care in Oxfordshire.

We are seeking Nursing Assistants with strong values, who are motivated, dynamic and organised, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to work in each of our 3 wards. This role requires an enthusiastic, committed and professional approach to enable you to be involved with and undertake a variety of tasks to assist with the smooth delivery of care, ensuring the best patient experience. Candidates should be excellent team-players with the ability to use their own judgement to resolve issues. They should also have a tactful, sensitive approach to dealing with difficult and upsetting situations. They should be able to work well under pressure with a flexible approach to work, and a willingness to suggest ideas for improvements. Candidates will be able to demonstrate compassion and commitment to deliver high standards of care. This will be assessed through a Values Based Interview.
