CONSULTANT IN ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY

(with a special interest in Head and Neck Oncology)

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for the substantive post of Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a specialist interest in Head and Neck Oncology at Oxford University Hospitals. 

The successful candidate would be joining a busy Head and Neck MDT which provides services to the Thames Valley and Swindon, treating approximately 350-400 patients per year in a dedicated Head and Neck unit.  This network covers a population of 4.5 million. We actively encourage participation in national clinical trials and have infrastructure for sentinel node biopsy for Oral SCC.

The successful candidate would be expected to be involved in the treatment of oral malignancy including reconstruction and free tissue transfer along with three further Consultants. You would also be expected to take part in the general OMFS on-call rota.

Oxfordshire is an exciting and diverse place to live and work.  It has excellent transport links with the rest of the country and is only 45 minutes on the train to central London.  It has easy access to both the Cotswolds and the Chilterns which have a myriad of leisure opportunities available.  Oxford is a beautiful, historic city with a world famous University and numerous surrounding picturesque towns and villages offering a great choice of locations for living and lifestyle.
