Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country and a leading international Academic Health Science Centre. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

 

We are seeking a talented, highly motivated and creative Graphic Designer to join our award-winning
in-house design team. Our ideal candidate will already have industry experience in translating brand and marketing objectives into effective and engaging visual communications and campaigns and have a Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.

 

Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a professional and friendly team of highly experienced designers, photographers and film makers, committed to making a real difference to the public’s health by creating corporate and promotional material, patient information and teaching resources on behalf of the Trust, charitable organisations, public sector and commercial clients. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your skills through continued professional development.

 

Working across digital and print media, you will be required to apply a high level of creative flair, strong communication skills and excellent team collaboration to support the Head of Design and Marketing in achieving the highest standards of creative production.

 

Your agency or studio experience will have enabled you to gain a professional working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (in addition to print and production processes) and you will already have a sound working knowledge of developing design for digital media and online channels. We are keen to see a portfolio of live work that provides firm evidence of your ability to create innovative designs, shows strong typographic skills and a passion for branding, logo design and visual identity.

•   a Degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent)

•   commercial design experience

•   advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

•   the agility to work accurately in a dynamic creative working environment

·       exceptional graphic design and visual storytelling expertise, with scrupulous attention to detail for typography, colour and user interactivity

·       expertise in designing for print, web, mobile devices, digital signage and social media

·       demonstrable illustration skills: logo design, infographics

•   superb communication and presentation skills: verbal, written, visual

•   gracious team player with excellent relationship-building and customer service skills
