 A Palliative Medicine junior doctor post is available in Sir Michael Sobell House Hospice for a period of approximately 6 months from 6th February 2019 to 6th August 2019. The post holder will be based on the Hospice in-patient unit at Sir Michael Sobell House Hospice, Churchill hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will be  covering the in-patient unit. We expect the post holder to manage the day to day medical care of patients on the ward. The junior doctors on the ward are supervised by 2 Consultants and a Registrar  who, between them, perform daily handovers and ward rounds. There is excellent support from nurses and the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will participate on an on call rota, which involves hospital at night covering Oncology and Haematology. There is a Registrar on site for all the on call shifts.

The post holder will be expected to attend weekly Journal Club. In addition there are opportunities to perform audits and attend departmental Clinical Governance and morbidity/mortality meetings.

Salary: £31,217.00 to £49,086.00 per annum
