A locum consultant post at Sir Michael Sobell House (Oxford) is available from 7th Jan 2019. This is a 10PA post which includes an on call commitment attracting category A availability supplement. Applications from those able to work part time will be considered.

 

Sobell House is an NHS Specialist Palliative Care Service and is an integral part of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Sobell House has served the community of Oxfordshire for over 40 years. The service is involved in delivering a project to enhance end of life care across Oxford University Hospitals Trust. 

 

The successful candidates will be part of a team of 5 consultants (4.2 WTE), two specialty doctors (1.35 WTE) and 4 doctors in training (2 palliative medicine, 2 general practice). There is opportunity to contribute to strategic developments and quality improvement activity to enhance palliative care across the hospital, community and hospice settings.

 

The Hospice is seeking a capable, enthusiastic doctor who enjoys working as part of a team in a tertiary referral centre as well as in the community to join us whilst we are in the process of appointing to our substantive posts.

 

Salary scale:  £77,913.00 – £105,042.00
