An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Manager to make a real difference to increasing commercial research activity across primary care settings in the Thames Valley.

The post holder will lead and manage the set up and running of the commercial federation of GP surgeries within CRN: Thames Valley and South Midlands.

The primary aim of the federation is to attract and deliver more commercial research (clinical trials and observational studies) from the federated surgeries across the Thames Valley and South Midlands region.

The post holder will need to be experienced in the set up and/or delivery of commercial clinical research in order to manage and lead the federation to deliver quality research and become the “go to” location for commercial research delivery in primary care settings.

The role will involve promotion to and engagement with the life sciences industry to bring research to the federation. This support role will work with staff in individual surgeries to ensure they are able to deliver research of the highest quality within required timeframes.

This post would suit someone with an excellent understanding of the requirements of commercial research and the ability to work collaboratively and persuasively with a wide range of stakeholders.

This post could be filled on a secondment basis for an existing employee of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
