The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. Watch how we set out to deliver compassionate excellence via the OUH YouTube channel.

Many of our recruitment programmes use values-based interviewing to identify those who have the skills we seek, who share our values and who are able to deliver compassionate excellence from the outset. We know that this makes a significance difference to your job satisfaction and above all the outcomes and experience of our patients and their families.

Applicants are invited to apply for the above post in the Department of Neuroradiology at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Level1, West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital, Headley Way, Oxford, OX3 9DU.

The department provides tertiary level neuroradiological care to a population of approximately 3 million. The successful candidate will be integral to supporting and together with colleagues developing and expanding the diagnostic neuroradiology service. The imminent replacement of MR and CT scanners will allow further development of high-quality diagnostic imaging, with an emphasis on advanced/functional imaging. Our collaboration with the University of Oxford underpins the quality of the care that is provided to patients; from the delivery of high-quality research, bringing innovation from the laboratory bench to the bedside, to the delivery of high-quality medical education and training of doctors.

Existing collaborations include the ambitious research programs established through the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR); and close collaboration with the research neuroimaging groups including FMRIB.

As an enthusiastic, motivated and ambitious colleague you will join a neuroradiology service which consists of 6 diagnostic consultants and four neuro-interventional consultants (All full time; two further interventional posts currently advertised.) This post provides an opportunity to join this.
