We are seeking a radiographer or technologist with experience in NM and PET/CT, who will contribute positively and enthusiastically to the professional running and future development of the department.


The post will require the individual to work with state of the art equipment and optimising image techniques across clinical and research fields and rotate across both the JR and Churchill sites.


The Churchill Radiology Department is within the Cancer and Haematology Centre, opened in 2009. Primarily, we provide imaging services across the specialities found on site: Oncology, Radiotherapy, Breast, Renal, Urology, Transplantation, Chest Medicine, upper and lower GI, Head and Neck, Haematology and Infectious Diseases.


The PET/CT department provide imaging services to a large catchment area across the south of England.  The NM department as well providing a wide variety of diagnostic service also provides a therapy service in collaboration with the oncology and medical physics teams. 


Imaging services on site includes; one GE 64 slice and one GE 256 Slice CT scanners and GE 1.5 and 3T MRI, 2  PET/CT scanners, 2 Gamma Camera’s including SPECT CT, 4 ultrasound rooms, a Lithotripsy unit, two flat plate interventional rooms, and 5 DR GE Definium 8000 rooms.


This role will also offer the individual the opportunity to work with a team of research radiographers that work throughout the radiology department to support over 300 research trials in conjunction with outside organisations including CRUK and Oxford University.
