The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. Watch how we set out to deliver compassionate excellence via the OUH YouTube channel.

Many of our recruitment programmes use values-based interviewing to identify those who have the skills we seek, who share our values and who are able to deliver compassionate excellence from the outset. We know that this makes a significance difference to your job satisfaction and above all the outcomes and experience of our patients and their families.

The Oxford Cancer Centre offers the perfect opportunity to work within a dynamic team using and developing the latest techniques and technologies and is seeking enthusiastic, motivated Radiographers to join the friendly radiotherapy team.

We are commissioned for SABR and SRS, one of only a small number of centers in England.  IMRT & IGRT are well established routine practices within the department and we also offer paediatric services, TBI and DiBH. Our Centre has 6 Varian multi-mode Linear Accelerators, with CBCT and RapidArc capability plus one linac with BrainLab ExacTrac.  The pre-treatment section comprises of a GE CT scanner, virtual simulation, 3D & 4D planning, access to PET-CT, Acuity simulator and Varian Eclipse treatment planning systems, all networked by ARIA. We have a planned expansion with the development of a 2 Linac satellite unit in Swindon.

Our department works collaboratively with Cancer Research UK and Medical Research Council Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology (University of Oxford) the primary goal of which is making cancer treatments less invasive and more directed to the characteristics of the patient's own tumour.

As a department we are proud of our strong culture of learning, education and support. We encourage radiographers to embark on, and undertake learning opportunities.
