The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. Watch how we set out to deliver compassionate excellence via the OUH YouTube channel.

Many of our recruitment programmes use values-based interviewing to identify those who have the skills we seek, who share our values and who are able to deliver compassionate excellence from the outset. We know that this makes a significance difference to your job satisfaction and above all the outcomes and experience of our patients and their families.

Up to £1,000 relocation support offered to eligible candidates.

We are keen to have 2 nurses join our Acute Dialysis Team. If you have dialysis skills, and like a varied and fast paced service that makes a real difference to patients – then this is the role for you. The post is based in Oxford and provides dialysis to renal and transplants in-patients, as well as other locations in the Trust.
We would train a new dialysis nurse in the role, which would include acute care skills as well as technical dialysis skills.
Professional development opportunities are encouraged and supported to enable the successful candidate to develop and enhance clinical expertise and assist with career development as part of a big University Hospital that is moving towards Magnet status.

You will be an integral part of the small and friendly nursing team and provide individualised care to renal patients.

Good communication, organisational and leadership skills are essential.

You will be a qualified RGN with evidence of working within the acute hospital setting for a period of time. Evidence of working within the renal and/or haemodialysis speciality will be given priority. We would strongly encourage you to make contact with the service, ahead of an interview.

Closing date for applications: 26th February 2018
