An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) for a qualified accountant with significant management experience to lead the R&D finance team within the Joint Research Office (JRO). The JRO is an established partnership between OUH and the University of Oxford (OU) in which specialist support teams from both organisations work together to facilitate high quality research. OUH is one of the leading Trusts in the UK in terms of the number of research studies it hosts and the performance of these studies against external benchmarks. The Trust aims continuously to improve its processes to increase research activity, performance and efficiency, as well as the income generated by research.

The Head of R&D Finance will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive business service, ensuring effective delivery of financial performance and exploiting opportunities for commercialisation to maximise research revenues to the Trust.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification financial experience in a managerial position in a large organisation. They must have experience of business management, and technical knowledge of the opportunities to commercialise research activities.
