An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Nurse to join the team on Specialist Geratology. As a Band 5 Nurse we are looking for that someone who really wants to make a difference to our patient’s experience and who wants to learn and develop.

The Geratology unit is a 34 bedded Ward that cares for people with a wide range of complex medical problems. You will experience Acute Care, Frailty, Palliative and Dementia Care. Geratology does all of this and more.... It is responsible for:
• Lionel Cousins Day Hospital- Responsible for the specialist clinics for falls, memory loss, and Parkinson’s. We are also currently running the latest clinical trials for Alzheimer Medications.
• Daily Diagnostic Unit- Responsible for Medical patient’s appointment and follow ups for the Medical Consultants.
• Respiratory clinic- Assessments, follow up and Xolair treatment.
• Private Patients- Medical private patients and minor surgical procedures care.

The Geratology Team are at the heart of everything we do for our patients and as such we will offer you the support, guidance, training and opportunities to develop so you can make the best contribution you can. Full or Part time hours considered, undertaking a range of day and night duties on a rotational basis in order to support 24 hour nursing care, 7 days per week.
