Surgical Emergency Unit

Band 6 Team Leader

37.5/week including weekend and night duty

The Surgical Emergency Unit is looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader to join the team on SEU D side.

The Surgical Emergency Unit is a fast paced and dynamic clinical area caring for patients with a wide range of surgical conditions. 

The successful applicant will assist in delivering high quality care ensuring effective flow of patients. The post holder will also lead a small team of nurses with the support of the ward sister; ensuring staff have an annual appraisal and appropriate training. Also assist the ward sister to provide clinical leadership, monitor nursing standards and ensure compliance within the NMC standards.

To be successful, applicants will need to be a qualified RGN with a valid NMC registration. Applicants must also have excellent customer care, communication and interpersonal skills and be flexible and able to adapt to and support change in this growing and developing environment.

The unit offers a wide range of opportunities and training to support personal development needs.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly, internal rotation including nights and weekends.
