RESPIRATORY CARE
BAND 6 ROTATIONAL

We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking, motivated experienced Band 5 or Band 6 Physiotherapist with a specialist interest in respiratory care, to join the Band 6 respiratory rotation as part of our cardio-respiratory team.
The rotation offers a broad range of experience both in acute and chronic care settings where you will work alongside highly respected and experienced clinicians across the three hospital sites.

There are 9 rotations available with critical care offering 4 of these, which include experience in one of the highest performing tertiary adult ICU’s in the country as well as specialist experience in major trauma, neurosurgery, cardiothoracics and cancer (including head and neck). Other acute rotations offer vascular and general surgery experience.

There are 4 chronic care rotations which include general medicine both at the John Radcliffe and Horton, respiratory medicine (includes tertiary services ILD, neuro-muscular diseases, NIV and out-patients) and Adult Cystic Fibrosis and bronchiectasis specialist services.

You will need to have a sound basic knowledge of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy, high levels of professionalism and strong communication skills to work effectively in this role.

You will be actively encouraged to participate in CPD, research and audit, service development and supervision and teaching of junior staff the wider MDT including students from Coventry and Oxford Brookes Universities.
